I just got home from the hospital. I am being treated for bacteria blood infection secondary to a blockage in one of my stents. I have cholangiocarcinoma and I am anticipating to sigh up for cyperknife. I have a meeting this wednesday with my ongologist. I will be on IV abx for the next 14 days. Will I have to wait til the end of my abx or will I be able to go ahead with ck now!!

It will probably take almost that long for you to actually receive your CK treatment anyway, with the need for placement of fiducial markers in the tumor for tracking.

I am status post surgergy 14 days ago this is when I found out that I have an inoperable tumor. At that time my surgeon plance the fidual markers. So what do you think is it likely I can still have ck while i am still on this abx iv and how long does it take to set up all the physics of it all.
Thank you for you time

The planning can take a few days depending on the department's work load. The treating team will have to make the decision about the timing. We would certainly want to have some assurance that the infection was under control, but not necessarily that all the antibiotic was finished.
