my dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer in his right lung. due to his poor physical condition , parkinsons disease , irregular heart rate etc the doctor has discuss Cyberknife radiation as an alternative treatment- how do we determine if this is the right approach, what are the benefits, risks chances or recurrence etc- we want to make the most informed decision here.

thank you

A careful review of his records and scans would be required to make that determination. CK is often an excellent, if not the very best, alternative to surgery especially for patients who are not surgical candidates. You should contact a Cyberknife center near you and have them review the material to offer an expert opinion. Check out the complete list of facilities at www.accuray.com and choose one near you.
